Can you take us back to the moment you realized you wanted to create your own skincare brand? What drove you to take that leap?
Heather: Due to my struggles with acne starting at a young age, skincare has always been more than just a routine for me—it is a deep fascination with how the skin functions, how it responds to the world around us, and how we can harness science to truly improve skin health. I have spent years researching skincare, questioning ingredient lists, and analyzing the claims made by brands.
There was a pivotal moment about a decade ago, when I realized that so many products on the market were making bold claims but lacked the scientific foundation to back them up. Furthermore, when I looked at their ingredients, they were essentially the same formula and just packaged and marketed differently. It frustrated me to see my clients investing in products that did not deliver real, lasting results. That is when I knew I had to create my own skincare. I wanted to create a brand that people could trust—a brand rooted in integrity, backed by science, and dedicated to actual transformation not just profits.
Skincare is an industry filled with competition. How did you go about creating something truly different with LBH?
Heather: From the very beginning, I knew that LBH had to be different. It was never about following trends or capitalizing on what was popular at the moment. It was about formulating products that worked—products with scientifically proven ingredients that would support skin health in a meaningful way.
I spent countless hours collaborating with experts, diving into research, and carefully selecting ingredients that would truly benefit the skin. Every ingredient had to have a purpose, not just be illusory or for marketing claims, and be backed by real science. LBH is not just another skincare brand—it is a movement towards smarter, more informed skincare choices that lead to change.
